Titanium 6-4 Sheet Specifications

Titanium 6-4 is also known as Titanium 6AL-4V and titanium sheet Grade 5. It is an alpha-beta Titanium alloy which is commonly used in the manufacture of many common mechanical parts and products. Its properties include:

  • Heat treatability
  • Outstanding strength
  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • Welding and fabrication suitability

The chemical composition of Titanium 6-4 sheet is as follows:

  • Aluminum: 5.5 to 6.75 percent
  • Vanadium: 3.5 to 4.5 percent
  • Iron: up to 0.25 percent
  • Oxygen: up to 0.2 percent
  • Carbon: up to 0.08 percent
  • Nitrogen: up to 0.05 percent
  • Hydrogen: up to 0.015 percent
  • Titanium: makes up the balance
